"After La Grande Duchesse de Gérolstein, and La Fille du régiment, Virgin Classics develops its DVD catalogue with yet a new stage production by renowned director Laurent Pelly (his 3rd for the label). Filmed in Lyons during the performances (18th December – 1st January 2008) the production and the cast re-enacted (in modern time) the satirical portrayal of Parisian life in the Second Empire. The performances were a hit: Laurent Pelly brought to Offenbach’s operetta all the gusto and humour the subject calls for – his staging is wild and frenzied. La Vie parisienne was Offenbach’s first fulllength piece to portray contemporary Parisian life, unlike his earlier period pieces and mythological subjects. It became one of Offenbach’s most popular operettas. The production brings together on stage a rich cast of singers, including Laurent Naouri (Natalie Dessay’s husband). "

" Originally released on VHS in 1989, this classic live concert film features a selection of performances filmed at a number of venues during the ‘Bete Noir’ European Tour of 1988 and 1989, upmixed into 5.1. With the auspicious backing of musicians such as Neil Hubbard (guitar), Andy Newmark (drums) and Clifford Carter (keyboards), Ferry delivers a stunning show, with highlights including ‘Slave To Love’, In Every Dream Home A Heartache’, ‘Kiss And Tell’ and ‘Do The Strand’.

Also included on the package is the previously unavailable ‘Konixxtreffen 2002’ concert in Munich, which celebrated Virgin Germany’s 25th Birthday. Century Media: Annoncé pour le 25 novembre 2008 Arch Enemy - Tyrants of The Rising Sun - Live In Japan, l'intégrale d'un spectacle à Tokyo au mois de mars 2008. Les spécifications techniques de cette édition DVD n'ont pas été précisées. On trouvera en tout vingt pièces. Les suppléments se composeront d'entrevues avec les membres du groupe et de trois vidéoclips.
